Contemporary spaces are visually curated but energetically unmanaged. Dr. Blue creates Artworks that bring Emotional Coherence to Environments. His paintings are Emotions within the Quantum Field. 

Dr. Blue uses a precise color system, conductive elements, natural crystals, and specific sound frequencies. As a result, each artwork carries a measurable electromagnetic presence that interacts with the surrounding environment, contributing to spatial harmony and a sustained sense of emotional and physical balance.

In the first photo, the meter is only detecting the Earth’s magnetic field.
In the second photo, when the meter moves close to the painting, the number rises dramatically.

That difference reveals something remarkable: the artwork produces its own Electromagnetic Field.

Dr. Blue’s work is conceived to restore emotional coherence between people and the environments they inhabit, shaping spaces that support regulation, focus, and a sustained sense of balance and safety.

My name is Ignatius Blue, Dr. Blue. I am a former surgeon (MD, PhD) and a formally trained visual artist.

From childhood, I fell in love with art through my father, a mathematician who was also a painter. Influenced by Spanish Informalism (Abstract Expressionism) and artists such as Antoni Tàpies and the El Paso Group, he explored painting as a language of material and presence. Through him, I learned that art is not decoration, but an energetic structure.

At 21, I traveled to London to immerse myself in the Conceptual Art movement, influenced by the Young British Artists, including Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, and Sarah Lucas.

Throughout my life, I moved between two demanding worlds: practicing medicine as a surgeon and painting, often working on commissions across Europe.

In 2016, I immigrated to the United States and turned exclusively to art. I have lived in Los Angeles, where I pursued university-level training, and in South Florida, where I have actively participated in the Miami art scene.

Over the last four years, I have presented two solo shows (New York at Agora Gallery and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County) and participated in numerous exhibitions and performances, including: Miami Art Basel, Art Expo New York, multiple shows at 704 Gallery (Lake Worth), and exhibitions within the Thrive Art District (Fort Lauderdale), among others.

My practice is grounded in long-term research into perception, space, and material interaction. Drawing from both science and art, my work explores how color, matter, and spatial experience can generate emotional coherence.

The aesthetic power of a Dr. Blue artwork lies in its ability to evoke projection: the viewer recognizes their own emotional states within the piece. In that moment, they experience themselves outside themselves, as if the painting becomes a mirror made of color, texture, and field.
